Manage Staff
Org-managers can invite location-managers for a specific location. They can also invite other org-managers, called co-admins, to manage the whole organisation. Location-managers can manage queues and devices within their assigned locations and remove another team member’s access to those locations. They cannot remove their own access or send invites.
Invite a location-manager
Section titled “Invite a location-manager”Only org-managers can send invites. To grant a staff member location-manager access:
- In admin, open the location you want to grant access to.
- Go to the Team tab.
- Click Invite member.
- Enter the staff member’s email address.
- Click Send invite.
The staff member receives an email with an invitation link. The link is valid for 7 days. They use the link to create a Jonot account or sign in to an existing account. After they accept the invitation, they appear as an active team member with the location-manager role for that location.
Invite a co-admin (org-manager)
Section titled “Invite a co-admin (org-manager)”Org-managers can give other people full administrative access to all locations by inviting them as org-managers of the same organisation.
- In admin, go to Settings → Organisation.
- In the Co-admins section, enter the person’s email address.
- Click Invite co-admin.
The invited person receives an email with an invitation link. The link is valid for 7 days. After they accept it, they receive the org-manager role for the organisation.
Manage pending invites
Section titled “Manage pending invites”Invites that have not yet been accepted appear with a “Pending” status.
- To revoke a pending invite, use the Revoke action on the invite row. The invitation link stops working immediately.
- To resend a pending invite, use the Resend action. Use this if the link expired or the person missed the email. Jonot creates a new invitation token, sends a new email, and sets a new 7-day expiry. You cannot resend a revoked or accepted invitation.
You can re-invite the same email address at any time after revoking.
Remove active team members
Section titled “Remove active team members”Org-managers, location-managers, and super-admins can remove a location-scoped team member’s access. Org-managers and location-managers must have the location in their scope. You cannot remove your own access.
- In admin, open the location and go to the Team tab.
- In the active members list, click Remove member beside the person.
- Confirm the removal.
This removes the member’s access to that location. It does not delete their Jonot account or organisation membership. You can invite them again later if they need access.
What location-managers can and cannot do
Section titled “What location-managers can and cannot do”Can do:
- Manage queues within their assigned locations
- Pair and remove devices within their assigned locations
